Not even brutally hot summer weather could prevent Robert from falling in love with the Houston area. Even though he loves the community, it took some time for this world traveler to get nestled here.
One of his recent professional achievements was being the General Manager of International SOS and leading the team in hiring and vetting over 1700 medical professionals to stand-up field hospitals overnight to treat newly arriving Afghans in the United States after the fall of Kabul. Overall, 88,000 Afghans were treated during Operation Allies Welcome, many of whom arrived in need of urgent care. The planning and execution surrounding this immense operation were extremely challenging.
On his days off, Robert enjoys volunteering, coaching kids’ activities, traveling, spending weekends away with his family, and fostering animals. He also loves staying active, and his hobbies include jogging, hiking, and skiing.
